As a DTS Exercise Coach, Healthy Eating and Weight Loss Coach, and Personal Trainer Specialist, Jennifer has developed a comprehensive understanding of fitness and wellness. She is also a Mat Pilates Specialist and Group Fitness Specialist, enabling her to offer a diverse range of exercise modalities to clients. With an Honors B.A. in Psychology from York University, Jennifer brings a deep understanding of mental and emotional well-being, which enhances her approach to coaching and personal training, ensuring that both physical and psychological aspects of health are addressed.

Jennifer has over 15 years experience in the fitness industry. and is a member of Canadian Fitness Professionals. She attends yearly conferences because she believes in continuing education and that there is always room for growth.

From your first step into the facility, Jennifer will be able to meet your fitness goals. She understands how intimidating it can be stepping into a gym and finds options keeping in mind strains, injuries, level of experience and further life hurdles. Jennifer would like to make exercising a part of your life.

As a personal health coach, she believes living a healthy lifestyle is accessible to anyone who chooses to strive for one. It may be overwhelming but with small steps and encouragement, Jennifer believes she can develop a healthier, happier you, with a focus on the mind-muscle connection and mindful eating. She also believes that open communication of client expectations and educating the client of exercise techniques will be the framework for success.

Chris has been a competitive volleyball player in Ontario for 13 years and a member of the Humber Men's Varsity Volleyball team for the past 6 years. He is a 6-time Ontario provincial champion, both as an athlete and a coach, at the collegiate and club levels, and a 3-time Canadian national silver medalist. When leading classes, Chris draws on his experience as a collegiate athlete to design purposeful and high-level training programs. He also has a background in strength and conditioning training for both collegiate and youth athletes.

As a group fitness trainer with the BAO team, Chris brings his experience as a multi-sport athlete. His passion for sport, combined with his academic training, has taught him that movement, even in its simplest form, can have a profound impact on both physical and mental well-being. Chris brings his enthusiasm and passion for fitness into every group class he leads.

With a keen expertise in biomechanics and muscle testing, Grigore, commonly known as Greg, is a dedicated Exercise Therapist and Coach. He excels in identifying and correcting imbalances through meticulously tailored exercise programs. Greg’s primary goal is to assist clients in recovering from injuries, enhancing fitness levels, and boosting overall well-being.

Adopting a compassionate and evidence-based approach, Greg is committed to restoring physical balance and empowering individuals to achieve improved mobility and strength. His personalized programs not only address specific health and fitness needs but also foster a deeper understanding of body mechanics among his clients, enabling them to move better and feel stronger in their everyday lives.

Nina Alaji, with her robust background in Biomedical Engineering, brings a unique scientific approach to personal training at Bao Institute. Certified in Personal Training, CPR/AED, and Nutritional Meal Planning, Nina is dedicated to leading her clients through customized programs that focus on strength, functional training, mobility, fat loss, and overall fitness enhancement.

Nina is deeply committed to empowering her clients, helping them unlock their full potential and achieve their wellness goals. Her approach is holistic and tailored, ensuring that each client's unique needs and aspirations are met with the most effective strategies.

Nina's passion for human health is at the core of her training methodology. She offers a diverse range of services, from dynamic group classes to meticulously personalized workout plans. With years of experience in the fitness industry and a particular focus on strength training, Nina is adept at enhancing her clients' fitness, mobility, and strength. Nolan Barrett is a dedicated personal trainer currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology at Brock University. With a deep understanding of the human body and how it moves, Nolan combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience. He holds a Canfitpro Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification, reflecting his commitment to professional standards in fitness.

Over the past 1.5 years, Nolan has worked with a diverse range of clients, training at Bao and a local gym near his university. His experience has equipped him with the skills to develop personalized fitness programs that are rooted in scientific principles and tailored to each individual’s needs. Nolan’s philosophy is inspired by the timeless words of Babe Ruth: “It is hard to beat a person who never gives up.” He embodies this mindset in both his personal training and how he motivates his clients to persevere.

Nolan takes a holistic approach to fitness, believing that true progress comes from understanding the science behind exercise and fostering healthy habits. He doesn’t just lead clients through workouts; he educates them about how their bodies function, the purpose behind each exercise, and the importance of consistency in building strength and stamina. Daniel is a CANFITPRO Certified Personal Trainer with expertise in CPR/AED, ensuring safety during all fitness sessions. Additionally, he is a Darby Training System Certified Conditioning Coach, equipped with specialized knowledge in conditioning to help clients achieve their fitness goals through personalized and effective training programs.

He specializes in developing effective training programs for clients who struggle with gaining muscle or losing weight. With 7 years of personal training experience, he is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals and avoid falling for fitness misinformation.

Passionate about helping others feel good about themselves, Daniel believes that when individuals feel good, they excel in life.
For him, a healthy lifestyle is much more than just lifting weights. It involves stretching, warming up, eating healthily, and getting adequate rest. He loves helping others discover what their bodies are capable of with the right amount of hard work. His goal is to help clients achieve a happy and well-balanced lifestyle that minimizes the risk of future health-related issues.

Kurt has been a certified personal trainer since 1999, working with athletes such as an OHL player, a national-level figure skater, and a client who achieved a golf scholarship. He has also successfully trained individuals for police and firefighter tests. With an amateur background in Taekwondo and Kung Fu, Kurt incorporates martial arts techniques into client sessions when appropriate to enhance training.


He treats each client individually, tailoring programs based on their specific needs and goals while taking a logical, no-nonsense approach. Kurt ensures that clients understand the reasons and mechanics behind the exercises he prescribes, giving them a comprehensive understanding of the movements and their benefits. He can push clients beyond their perceived limits, guiding them to greatness—provided they are willing to put in the effort and not give up.
