Reiki is a hands on approach to overall health and wellness based on the principle that all living things have Qi (life force energy) flowing through them.
This energy flows through our physical selves as well as our emotional, mental, and spiritual selves, to make up what some refer to as the aura.
The flow of this energy can become blocked. When there is a block in the flow of energy it can disturb us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Reiki encourages the flow of energy through our system.
What to Expect
During a Reiki session some people feel intense heat or cold, numbing or tingling. Some feel the energy coursing through their bodies, while others enter deep meditative states, or simply fall asleep.
Reiki treatment can be compared to a massage in that you lie down on a massage table and relax, the big difference is that with Reiki, your body is only lightly touched, if it is touched at all, and you remain clothed.
Relaxation Meditation involves the practice of the following core routines;
1. Breath awareness and conscious breathing
2. Body awareness and softening
3. Thought watching and nourishing imagery
The outcomes of a Relaxation Meditation practice vary from person to person and evolve with time, but generally include;
– feeling more present, focused and grounded,
– having more patience for themselves and those they love
– feeling more comfortable in their body
– improved sleep
– increased self-awareness and compassion
– improved sense of self, confidence, and purpose
